Creating and Implementing a New Plugin for SIMMS Restaurant Group
Overview
When SIMMS Restaurant Group approached CoSpark, they were looking for a way to better incorporate Paytronix into their WooCommerce website.
CoSpark proudly created a custom WooCommerce plugin that integrated with the SIMMS Restaurants website with Paytronix. This allowed for faster, simpler customer checkouts, as well as an improved user experience overall.
About SIMMS Restaurant Group
This client contains a group of highly personalized, hand-crafted restaurants – all of which strive to create meaningful relationships with diners, suppliers, and local communities. Their slogan, “Serving Happiness,” embodies the dedication that SIMMS Restaurant Group has to providing a unique experience to all.
Their website informs guests and partners about their brand. It also sells a variety of products, such as SIMMS Restaurants clothing, gift cards, accessories, and more. Customers visit the site to do everything from meet the SIMMS chefs to purchase a sweatshirt advertising their favorite place to dine.
SIMMS Restaurant Group needed a website that was as meaningful as their motto. Our client wanted their site to properly inform readers about their company, but also function as an e-commerce site that sold products.
Crafting New Plugins and Updating the Website
With SIMMS Restaurant Group, we had one main goal: to create a WooCommerce plugin that would integrate their eCommerce websites with Paytronix.
Paytronix is a customer experience platform that combines marketing automation and AI-driven insights to make loyalty programs simple. More than 500 brands already use the platform, but we were hired to take things a step further and create a custom setup for Simms Restaurants.
As always, we began with a discovery phase. CoSpark interviewed and researched the SIMMS Restaurant Group case to ensure we knew exactly what our client needed. We then launched into brainstorming and developing the requested WooCommerce plugin.
What we did
- Added an additional field to subscription products, which then connected to customers’ Paytronix Wallets.
- Integrated WordPress logins with Paytronix usernames and passwords.
- Automatically connect existing Paytronix users with WordPress user accounts.
- Integrate WooCommerce subscriptions with Paytronix Wallets.
- Automate subscription start and expiration date updates in Paytronix.
Throughout this process, CoSpark worked closely with Patronix professionals. We wanted to ensure the integration was as smooth as possible, and that required excellent communication between our two teams.
